T-minus 8 hours

I'm all packed and ready to go, or so I think. Punched in at work extra late this morning because of all the last minute packing, unpacking, repacking.

Stress.

If any genius out there can invent a suitcase you can just stuff all your things in with one little magic button that can shrink it to something as big as my thumb tip (or fine, sige, a cellphone)...CALL ME.

Ah, who am I to complain? :p

Remind me next time though, even if there are showers in the lounge, it's NEVER a good idea to go on a 9-hour flight straight from work. Nakakabobarts! I hope I didn't forget anything, and I hope our house will still be there when I get back. I mean, I THINK I remembered to switch everything off...

The Heart of the Gulf is Racing

Want to know a secret? Despite all the excitement, meeting Felipe Massa, and that unforgettable Banana Mascarpone dessert, the best part of the Grand Prix was STILL taking a day off work to watch it. (Whew glad I got that off my chest :p)

On our way to Sakhir

Bahrain International Circuit

I was never a big racing fan, but NOW I understand what all the hype's about. It was amazing to actually experience the incredible amount of research, precision, technology, money, and teamwork that are put into every race. Can you believe 150 tons of equipment are shipped from one country to the next for a car that barely even weighs a ton? Whoa!

See? The free flowing champagne, premium seating, gourmet food, vip access, and cheering for the team that won have absolutely nothing to do with why I changed my mind. HAHA ;)

Felipe Massa at the Ferrari F1 Club

He signed my cap! (Die hard F1 fans actually bribed me for that) :p

More photos and videos of experiencing "22 Formula One cars HOWL down the straights" at the usual.

and you are 30 minutes late

Only one word to describe the Grandprix yesterday: INCREDIBLE. I'll dedicate a decent post for that tomorrow because I'm in a rush to get out of the office (but my crazy feeling artsyfartsy head is running just as fast) so before I go, a poem:

TAXI DRIVER

You become a little more
than a Stranger
for a few minutes
as long as the meter is running
a few minutes
not enough to be a Friend
but a familiar
everyday occurrence, you are
vitality gone unnoticed (except maybe today),
happening somewhere
in between
where I was and
where I will be.

Gotta go bye!

Ticking Away A Dull Day

Seriously, I'm in no mood for work. It's Easter Sunday AND Chocolate Eaters Month (!!) for crying out loud. We should be out hunting eggs and eating all the chocolate we want.

22 days til my plane takes off.
5 days til the F1 Grandprix (what's the fuss about?).
2 hours til I get my hands on that chocolate bar I left on my bedside table.

After ten million failed attempts to look for ANY kind of distraction...

"2 hours to go Hershey, mama's coming home."
Droooool.
